چکیده

This research provides an investigation to measure the rate of corrosion steel bars coated with organic inhibitor Lawsonia inermis (Henna) and inorganic Sodium Nitrite (NaNO2) embedded in concrete. Presence on reinforcement reduces bond strength between concrete over a while excessive bar can lead loss ductility, extreme cases collapse. Structures like marine structures, sewage pipes, which are prone damage due presence salts, acidic environment, is accelerated when compared normal therefore there need protecting such type structures. In previous researches, inhibitors were added directly into mix preparing inhibition efficiency was analysed. However, this case, applied reinforcing itself as occurs has proven be effective. present study, Henna paste inhibitors. Inhibitors form 2 layers, 4 layers combination used. The beams specimens cured for 58 days saline environment. difference potential measured by half-cell potentiometer. Results suggested that specimen coating had reduced 46% original sample. Also, coats sodium nitrite showed better efficiency.

Lawsonia Inermis as green inhibitor for corrosion protection of aluminium alloy

Corrosion behaviour of aluminium alloy inhibited by henna was investigated by using weight loss analysis, Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and potendiodynamic polarization study. Lawsonia inermis or also known as henna was extracted by using ethyl acetate and methanol. The result from these characterization shows that henna extracted in ethyl aceta...

Antimicrobial activity of Lawsonia inermis L.

Henna (Lawsonia inermis L.) is a small shrub frequently cultivated in India, Persia, and along the African coast of the Mediterranean Sea. Powdered leaves of this plant, in the form of a paste, are used both as a cosmetic and as a remedy for boils, wounds, and some mycotic infections in certain countries of the Middle East. The antibacterial activity of an aqueous extract of henna leaf and some...

In vitro micropropagation of Lawsonia inermis (Lythraceae).

A successful protocol was developed for mass propagation of Lawsonia inermis Linn., an important medicinal plant. Multiple shoots were induced in apical and axillary meristems derived from mature explants of L. inermis on Murashige and Skoog (1962) medium supplemented with 0.25 mg/l 6-benzylaminopurine (BA), 0.25 mg/l Kinetin (Kn), 0.5 mg/l ascorbic acid and 3% (w/v) sucrose. The rate of multip...
